Come and join Marie at the beautiful Brooksby Hall in Leicestershire to learn to create this striking mosaic knitted cushion. This is a great project to learn the technique of Mosaic Knitting, which is a method of creating a coloured pattern without stranding. This project is suitable for those knitters that have not tried stranded colour work before or want to learn to a different knitting technique.

TIME 10am  until 4pm. We will start promptly so please arrive by 9.45am.


LOCATION Brooksby Hall, Brooksby, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire LE14 2LJ.


WHAT YOU WILL MAKE You will start to make the beautiful Mosaic Tile Cushion using 10 soft shades of Spindrift by Jamieson's of Shetland.


WHAT YOU WILL LEARN How to knit mosaic pattern.


SKILL LEVEL Suitable for knitters of all abilities.


WHAT IS INCLUDED The pattern, charts and the yarn to complete the cushion front (10 x 25g balls). A lunch made from locally sourced produce, lots of tea & coffee, fruit juice, biscuits and afternoon cake.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING 3mm straight or circular needles.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE CUSHION You will be given everything to complete the cushion front. You will need a 50cm x 42cm machine washable cushion pad and backing fabric to match.


NUMBER OF WORKSHOP PLACES Minimum of 10 people to a maximum of 20.

THINGS TO DO If you fancy making a short break of your workshop visit, the market towns of Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Uppingham are well worth a visit. Melton Mowbray is renowned for it's famous pork pie and the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland are famous for Stilton cheese making.
