Come and join Marie at the beautiful Brooksby Hall in Leicestershire to learn to create this beautiful Crochet Bag. Although the bag design looks complicated, it is created using very simple crochet stitches and is therefore achievable by the beginner. The main bag is crocheted using one end of three different colours together and the flowers and leaves are crocheted separately and sewn on at the end.

TIME 10am  until 4pm. We will start promptly so please arrive by 9.45am.


LOCATION Brooksby Hall, Brooksby, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire LE14 2LJ.


WHAT YOU WILL MAKE You will start to make the beautiful crochet bag using 3 soft shades of Spindrift by Jamieson's of Shetland - 4 balls of each colour.


WHAT YOU WILL LEARN How to crochet the bag, the flowers and leaves.


SKILL LEVEL Suitable for crocheters with some experience but this bag is achievable to those new to crochet.


WHAT IS INCLUDED The pattern and the yarn to complete the bag (12 x 25g balls). A lunch made from locally sourced produce, lots of tea & coffee, fruit juice, biscuits and afternoon cake.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING 4.50mm and 2.50mm crochet hooks.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE BAG You will be given the yarn to complete the bag.


NUMBER OF WORKSHOP PLACES Minimum of 10 people to a maximum of 20.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS I reserve the right to cancel the workshop. In the event of a cancellation your fee will be refunded in full.  If you have to cancel then I will try to fill your place. If successful your fee will be refunded in full, otherwise the fee is non-refundable.


THINGS TO DO If you fancy making a short break of your workshop visit, the market towns of Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Uppingham are well worth a visit. Melton mowbray is renowned for it's famous pork pie and the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland are famous for Stilton cheese making.
